About the Place Network Emerging Leaders Artivism Alliance 2025–2026

The Emerging Leaders Artivism Alliance (ELAA) is a fellowship programme by PLACE Network. It brings together artists from Africa and Europe who use art as a tool for activism and societal transformation.

The fellowship supports artists with migration backgrounds, enabling them to elevate their work, strengthen their leadership skills, and connect with global networks that can advance their impact.


Eligibility Criteria

The programme is open to individuals who meet the following requirements:

  • Have lived experience of forced displacement or migration.
  • Reside in Africa or Europe, particularly in the following countries:
    • France, the Netherlands, the UK, Germany, Cyprus, Egypt, Uganda, Ghana, Rwanda, or Sudan.
  • Are engaged in artistic practices aimed at social transformation.
  • Can commit approximately 6 hours per month from December 2025 to June 2026.
  • Possess at least A2–B1 level English proficiency.
  • Can participate fully via Zoom.
