- Be enrolled full-time in a first-entry undergraduate programme.
- Be studying at one of the following Canadian universities:
- McGill University
- McMaster University
- Dalhousie University
- University of Manitoba
- or be a recipient of the MacBain Niagara Falls Scholarship or the McCall Huron County Scholarship.
- Maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.0 (or 8.0 on McMaster’s scale) at the time of application.
- For four-year (or longer) degree programmes: have completed at least three academic terms before departure.
For shorter programmes: at least two academic terms before departure. - Must not have met the requirements to graduate before departure.
- Be in good academic and disciplinary standing.
- Must not have independently lived, studied, volunteered, or worked abroad in a new language or culture for eight months or more within the past three years.
