The AYuTe Africa Challenge Nigeria 2026 is a national agritech innovation competition designed to support young Nigerian entrepreneurs who are building technology-driven solutions to improve agriculture and empower smallholder farmers.

The programme is part of a broader continental initiative focused on Agriculture, Youth, and Technology (AYuTe), aimed at identifying innovative agritech startups and providing them with the resources, mentorship, and funding needed to scale their impact.

The AYuTe Africa Challenge Nigeria 2026 seeks to empower youth-led agritech enterprises that are developing solutions capable of transforming Nigeria’s agricultural sector while improving productivity, sustainability, and farmers’ livelihoods.

About the AYuTe Africa Challenge Nigeria 2026

The AYuTe Africa Challenge Nigeria 2026 is organised by Heifer International and implemented in Nigeria by Wennovation Hub. The challenge focuses on supporting early-stage agritech startups that leverage technology to address key challenges faced by smallholder farmers.

Agriculture remains a major driver of Nigeria’s economy, yet many farmers face barriers such as limited access to technology, inefficient farming methods, and climate-related risks. Through this programme, innovative young entrepreneurs are encouraged to create solutions that improve agricultural productivity, strengthen value chains, and enhance farmers’ income.

The competition identifies promising agritech ventures across Nigeria and supports them through mentorship, technical assistance, and funding opportunities.
