    The Google for Startups Accelerator Africa Program 2026 is now open for applications. This three-month hybrid accelerator programme is designed to support growth-stage African tech startups by providing them with the resources, mentorship, and global network needed to scale their businesses and make an even greater impact across the continent.

    About the Google for Startups Accelerator Africa Program 2026

    The Google for Startups Accelerator Africa Program 2026 is a no-equity, three-month hybrid accelerator tailored for tech startups solving Africa’s biggest challenges through innovation. The programme combines technical mentorship, product design, business growth strategies, and leadership development to help startups build scalable solutions and create sustainable impact.

    Through the accelerator, startups will gain access to Google’s top experts and cutting-edge technologies. Participants will also receive guidance on using tools such as Google Cloud, Android, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence to enhance their products and operations.

    Programme Duration and Key Dates

    • Application Deadline: 18 March 2026
    • Programme Kick-off: April 2026
    • Graduation and Demo Day: June 2026

    The accelerator spans a period of three months, combining virtual and in-person sessions, mentorship opportunities, and deep-dive workshops tailored to each startup’s unique needs.

    Who Can Apply?

    This programme is ideal for growth-stage technology startups across Africa that are beyond the early ideation stage and are ready to scale. Eligible startups must:

    • Be based in Africa or primarily serving the African market.
    • Have a working product or service with evidence of market traction.
    • Possess a scalable business model addressing real market needs.
    • Demonstrate technical depth (AI, ML, or advanced technology integration preferred).
    • Have a committed core team (including CTO or technical lead) able to participate actively throughout the accelerator.

    Selected startups will receive comprehensive, equity-free support to accelerate their growth. Benefits include:

    7. Networking and Visibility

    Participants will connect with an expansive community of investors, tech leaders, and entrepreneurs across Africa and globally, culminating in a high-profile Demo Day to showcase achievements and future plans.

    Programme Structure

    The accelerator consists of tailored sessions designed to help startups address their unique business challenges. Each startup will:

    • Engage in personalised mentoring with Google experts.
    • Participate in group learning sessions with other founders.
    • Undertake technical deep dives and sprints focusing on growth and impact.
    • Present at the Demo Day to an audience of investors, partners, and ecosystem stakeholders.
