Eligibility Criteria

  • Reside, work, or study within Rotary District 6220 (includes the northern part of Wisconsin and part of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula — applicants must live north of Calumet Street in the Appleton area).
  • Be a college graduate planning to enroll in a postgraduate (graduate-level) degree program.
  • Not be a Rotarian, employee of Rotary International, or an immediate family member (child or grandchild) of a Rotarian who has been active within the last three years.
  • Demonstrate strong academic performance and a clear commitment to community service and leadership.
  • Show proficiency in the language of instruction for the chosen program.
  • Present a well-defined career plan consistent with Rotary’s areas of focus.
  • Exhibit an intention to maintain a lifelong relationship with Rotary following completion of the scholarship program.

Application Process

Step 1: Pre-Qualification

Interested applicants must first complete the 2026–2027 Global Grant Scholarship Pre-Qualification Application.

Step 2: Full Application

Those who meet the initial requirements will be invited to submit a Full Application with supporting documents and references.

Step 3: Interview

Finalists may be invited for an interview—either in person or via video conference.

Step 4: Admission and Award

Successful candidates must provide proof of admission to an eligible graduate program before receiving scholarship funds. Final awards are subject to approval by The Rotary International Foundation.
