The JD Genesis Fellowship 2026 is now open for applications, offering a transformational pathway for early-career professionals in the United States who are preparing to attend an ABA-accredited law school. The programme provides over USD 6,000 worth of benefits, including LSAT tutoring, professional development, mentorship, a retreat, therapy support and hands-on admissions assistance.
This is a highly selective fellowship that will welcome only three Bay Area-based fellows for its 2026 cohort.

About the JD Genesis Fellowship 2026
The JD Genesis Fellowship 2026 is designed to bridge the gap between talented, underrepresented aspiring law students and equitable access to legal education. The programme supports fellows from LSAT preparation through law school admission, ensuring they are mentally, professionally and academically prepared.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be currently living in the United States and able to attend all in-person activities
- Have graduated from college at least two years prior (May 2023 or earlier)
- Hold a minimum GPA of 3.2
- Have taken the LSAT at least once (no score requirement specified)
- Commit to (re)taking the LSAT by June 2026
- Plan to apply to law school by December 2026
- Intend to enrol in law school for the 2027–2028 academic year
- Be willing to mentor the next JD Genesis cohort
- Be based in the Bay Area, California (only three selected)
Key Programme Requirements
Fellows must:
- Attend the one-day JD Genesis Conference in Oakland, CA (late January 2026)
- Participate fully in all scheduled mentoring and coaching sessions
- Submit a complete application before the deadline
- Serve as a mentor for the 2027 incoming class
