Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria to qualify for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars MSc-HPE Programme 2025–2026:
- Age: Must be 35 years or younger at the time of application (exceptions may apply to applicants with disabilities).
- Citizenship: Must be a citizen or resident of an African country, or hold recognised refugee status in Africa.
- Education: Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field (official transcript and degree certificate are required).
- Experience: Preferably have experience in teaching, supervision, or educational leadership within a health-related higher education setting, or show strong evidence of teaching potential.
- Institutional Endorsement: If currently employed, applicants must provide a signed and stamped recommendation letter from their institution confirming:
- Support for the applicant’s participation in the programme.
- That the applicant will have dedicated time for both online and in-person sessions.
- Degree Restriction: Applicants already holding a master’s degree are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.
