The Art Canada Institute New Voices Publishing Fellowship 2026 provides one emerging post-doctoral scholar with a publishing contract to develop an online art book through the Art Canada Institute (ACI). Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Art Canada Institute New Voices Publishing Fellowship 2026, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a PhD (in art history or a closely related discipline) completed within the past seven (7) years.
  • Demonstrate substantial knowledge or experience in the study of Canadian art, which includes historical, contemporary, Indigenous, and diasporic practices.
  • Be committed to producing a manuscript of approximately 30,000–40,000 words over the fellowship period.
