About the INCERT – One Young World Scholarship 2025

The INCERT – One Young World Scholarship 2025 is a collaborative initiative between INCERT and One Young World. This programme aims to bring together young leaders from across the European Union who are working to shape a safer digital world through cybersecurity innovation.

Successful scholars will participate in the One Young World Summit 2025 in Munich, Germany, where they will join thousands of fellow changemakers, world leaders, and industry experts to exchange ideas, gain new skills, and expand their global network.


Scholarship Benefits

Selected scholars will receive a fully funded package that covers:

  • Full access to the One Young World Summit 2025 in Munich.
  • Travel costs to and from Munich, Germany.
  • Accommodation in Munich between 2 – 6 November 2025 (inclusive).
  • Catering during the summit (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).
  • Local transport between accommodation and the summit venue.

This support ensures that financial constraints will not hinder the participation of deserving young leaders.


Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the INCERT – One Young World Scholarship 2025, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be aged 18 – 30 at the time of the summit.
    • Applicants over 30 may be considered if they demonstrate significant personal impact.
    • Applicants under 18 at the time of the summit are not eligible.
  • Be a national of an EU member state.
  • Demonstrate a clear interest and some experience in cybersecurity.
  • Have a track record of impactful and innovative solutions in cybersecurity.
  • Show an understanding of the intersection between ESG principles and cybersecurity.

This scholarship is particularly suited to individuals already making meaningful contributions to cybersecurity and sustainability.


Application Essay Requirement

Applicants are required to submit a 1,000-word essay addressing the following prompt:

“Why do you wish to join this program, and how do you see the intersection of ESG principles with cybersecurity shaping a safer and more sustainable digital world?”

The essay should reflect:

  • Personal motivation for applying.
  • A clear vision of how cybersecurity can advance ESG goals.
  • How applicants’ work contributes to protecting vulnerable populations, enabling sustainable innovation, and fostering trust in digital systems.

This is a key component of the application, so take time to craft a thoughtful, well-structured response.
