About Les Mesnographies Call for Photos 2025

The Les Mesnographies Call for Photos 2025 marks the 6th edition of this impactful festival. This year’s theme focuses on incest — a deep social taboo that affects countless lives but is often shrouded in silence.

The organisers are looking for photography series that:

  • Reveal hidden realities,
  • Question societal silence,
  • Soothe and bring light to a difficult topic,
    while avoiding sensationalism.

Alongside the exhibition, the festival will host a round table with testimonies, readings, and discussions to create a safe and open space for dialogue.

  • Exhibition Dates: 6 June – 19 July 2026
  • Venue: Parc des Mesnuls, France

Selected works will be displayed for more than a month in a beautiful outdoor park setting, giving artists international exposure.


Benefits of Participation

Selected photographers will receive several forms of support and recognition, including:

  • Exhibition Opportunity – Your work will be exhibited for 1.5 months at Parc des Mesnuls.
  • 🖼 Production Costs Covered – All print production (on tarpaulins) will be handled by the festival.
  • 💶 Artist Fee – A royalty payment of €300.
  • 🏡 Accommodation Provided – During the opening weekend, selected photographers will be welcomed and hosted by locals for three days.

Responsibilities & Conditions

While the festival offers excellent benefits, selected participants should note the following responsibilities:

  • Travel Costs: You will cover your own travel expenses to attend the opening weekend.
  • Content Appropriateness: As the exhibition is in an open-air park and accessible to all audiences (including children), the content must be suitable for public display. Graphic or explicit materials must be handled thoughtfully.

Eligibility Criteria

This call is open to photographers worldwide who can creatively and sensitively address the theme of incest through their work. Artists at any stage of their career are encouraged to apply.


How to Apply

Applicants must prepare a single PDF file that includes:

  1. A photo series of up to 20 images maximum,
  2. A clear and concise explanatory text describing the series,
  3. A short biography of the photographer.
