About the Africa Extractives Media Fellowship

Organised by NewsWire Africa in partnership with leading institutions that promote transparency, sustainability, and good governance, the Africa Extractives Media Fellowship 2025-2026 is designed to build the capacity of journalists to report more effectively on the extractives sector, climate change, energy transition, and related issues.

This fully in-person programme will take place in Accra, Ghana, from October 2025 to April 2026.

  • Women journalists are especially encouraged to apply, as part of efforts to promote gender inclusion in reporting on extractives.
