About the Wells Fargo Sophomore Discovery Fellowship Program 2026

The fellowship is an intensive, paid programme tailored for current sophomores (second-year undergraduates) expected to graduate in December 2027 or May/June 2028.

It takes place in Charlotte, North Carolina (USA), where selected fellows will participate in structured job-shadowing, networking, professional development, and mentoring activities. To ease the relocation process, corporate housing is provided at no cost for the duration of the programme.

A highlight of the fellowship is a one-week induction that combines technical training, soft skills development, networking opportunities, and cross-business events. Fellows will also complete a capstone project with a final presentation.

Outstanding fellows may be offered a place in Wells Fargo’s junior internship (Early Careers Programme), creating a pathway to long-term opportunities in finance.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Wells Fargo Sophomore Discovery Fellowship Program 2026, applicants must:

  • Be a sophomore currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
  • Have an expected graduation date of Dec 2027 or May/June 2028.
  • Be legally authorised to work in the United States throughout the programme (Wells Fargo does not provide visa sponsorship).
  • Have at least six months of work experience (this can be professional, educational, or through training).
