Responsibilities of ARI Postdoctoral Fellows

Successful applicants to the Asia Research Institute (ARI) Postdoctoral Fellowship 2025 will:

  • Conduct research under the guidance of a Cluster Leader.
  • Participate in cluster projects, initiatives, and ongoing programmes.
  • Organise and support academic workshops and conferences.
  • Contribute to new research initiatives, including the development of grant proposals.
  • Publish high-quality research outputs.
  • Undertake administrative and committee responsibilities as required.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Completion of all PhD requirements before the fellowship start date.
  • Demonstrated publication record in peer-reviewed academic outlets.
  • A clear and feasible publication plan for the duration of the fellowship.
  • Research must align with ARI’s thematic clusters, and applicants may apply to up to two clusters.

Required Application Materials

Applicants must submit a single combined PDF file containing the following documents:

  1. Curriculum Vitae (CV): Maximum of 3 single-spaced pages.
  2. Research Synopsis: Maximum of 2 single-spaced pages, explaining how the proposed research builds on doctoral work, contributes to ARI clusters, and includes publication plans. Clearly indicate up to two ARI research clusters you are applying to.
  3. Published Work Sample: A short sample of published work (preferably in English).
  4. Referees’ Contact Details: At least two referees who can provide academic references.
