The NVIDIA Graduate Fellowship Program 2026–2027 is now open for applications from exceptional PhD students conducting innovative research in areas such as computer science, computer engineering, system architecture, and related fields. Application Deadline
All application materials must be submitted by:
- Application Deadline: September 15, 2025 at 3:00 PM Pacific Time
- Recommendation Letter Deadline: September 15, 2025 at 12:00 Noon Pacific Time
Applicants should note that both the main application and recommendation letters have strict deadlines, and late submissions will not be considered.
Fellowship Award
- Amount: Up to $60,000 per selected fellow
- Funding Administration: Fellowship funds are administered through the recipient’s university
The award supports research activities during the 2026–2027 academic year, coupled with an in-person internship during the preceding summer.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the NVIDIA Graduate Fellowship Program 2026–2027, applicants must:
- Have completed at least one year of PhD-level studies by the time of application.
- Be enrolled full-time in a PhD programme during the 2026–2027 academic year and not expect to graduate before May/June 2027.
- Be engaged in research within:
- Computer Science
- Computer Engineering
- System Architecture
- Electrical Engineering
- Or other related fields.
- Be available for a full-time, in-person summer internship prior to the fellowship year at one of NVIDIA’s research offices worldwide.
- Not be an immediate family member of a current NVIDIA employee.
Application Requirements
Applicants must prepare and submit the following materials:
- Research Summary / Thesis Proposal
- Maximum of 2 pages (excluding bibliography).
- Clearly outline your research goals, methodology, and expected contributions.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV) or Résumé
- Include academic achievements, publications, awards, and relevant experience.
- 2–3 Letters of Recommendation
- At least one letter must come from your thesis advisor.
- Recommenders must submit their letters before you finalise your application.
- Confirmation of Summer Internship Availability
- Applicants must explicitly confirm their readiness to participate in the required internship.
Application Process
- Applications are submitted via NVIDIA’s online portal.
- Ensure your recommenders upload their letters well ahead of the deadline.
- Submit your complete application only when all materials, including recommendation letters, are uploaded.
- Be mindful of Pacific Time zone deadlines:
- Noon for recommendation letters.
- 3 PM for the full application.
