    Rise on Boards+ Program 2025

    Are you a young leader in Canada looking to make an impact through governance and community leadership? The Rise on Boards+ Program 2025 is now open for applications, offering Canadian youth an opportunity to strengthen their leadership skills, access governance training, and take up board positions in the non-profit sector.

    This programme builds on the original Rise on Boards initiative, which since 2017 has successfully placed more than 200 youth leaders on boards across Canada. The updated Rise on Boards+ Program 2025 provides even more accessibility and flexibility, giving participants the tools to engage with training and resources at their own pace.


    About the Rise on Boards+ Program 2025

    Rise on Boards+ (RB+) is a leadership development initiative designed to empower young people, particularly those experiencing gender-based discrimination, to take up meaningful roles in community governance.

    The programme offers:

    • Self-guided training modules covering governance, financial literacy, fundraising, leadership, and communications.
    • Interactive workshops to build practical skills.
    • Group coaching and peer networking, connecting participants with fellow young leaders.
    • Mentorship opportunities with senior professionals who can provide guidance and support.

    Selected participants will gain:

    • Comprehensive governance skills – including financial oversight, fundraising strategies, and professional communications.
    • Access to tools and resources to identify, apply for, and secure positions on non-profit boards.

    Eligibility Criteria

    To be eligible for the Rise on Boards+ Program 2025, applicants must:

    • Be 18–29 years old.
    • Reside in Canada for the duration of the programme.
    • Be youth experiencing gender-based discrimination.
    • Demonstrate passion for community engagement and leadership growth.

    The deadline to apply for the Rise on Boards+ Program 2025 is September 21, 2025 at 23:59 EST.
