The ASM Country Ambassador Program 2026 offers microbiologists the opportunity to take on leadership roles as official representatives of ASM in their respective countries. Through this role, ambassadors work directly with institutions, scientists, and microbiology professionals, supporting ASM’s mission to advance microbial sciences globally.

Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the ASM Country Ambassador Program 2026, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a current ASM member.
- Hold a PhD (or equivalent) in a microbiology-related field, OR a graduate degree with at least 10 years of post-academic professional work.
- Have published at least 3 microbiology-related papers in the past 5 years.
- Demonstrate intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
- Be available to dedicate at least 5 hours per month to ambassador responsibilities.
