    About the OECD CRP Research Fellowship 2026

    The OECD CRP Research Fellowship 2026 enables scientists to work in host institutions abroad, fostering research excellence and collaboration across OECD member countries. Fellows engage in research addressing urgent global challenges such as:

    • Sustainable productivity growth, food security, and nutrition.
    • Climate change mitigation and adaptation.
    • Biodiversity preservation, soil and water health.

    Fellowship Benefits

    Successful applicants receive comprehensive financial support, including:

    • A return economy-class air ticket.
    • A weekly subsistence allowance of 600 EUR or 650 EUR, depending on the host country’s cost of living.
    • A terminal allowance of 165 EUR to cover travel expenses at the start and end of the fellowship.

    This funding structure allows fellows to focus fully on their research without financial stress.


    Eligibility Criteria

    To apply for the OECD CRP Research Fellowship 2026, candidates must meet the following requirements:

    • Be employed in a research institution located in one of the OECD CRP participating countries.
    • Carry out the fellowship in a different participating country from their home institution.
    • Have at least 4 years of postdoctoral experience, or equivalent professional expertise with a solid record of publications.
    • Provide a contract showing continued employment or scientific affiliation after the fellowship, or obtain employer certification of such.
    • Secure approval from their employer to both apply for and, if selected, undertake the fellowship.
    • Re-apply only if five years have passed since a previous CRP fellowship.

    Duration of Fellowship

    • Minimum duration: 6 weeks
    • Maximum duration: 26 weeks

    The timeframe should be suitable for the scope of the proposed research and agreed upon with the host institution.

    The deadline for submitting applications is 10 September 2025. Early preparation is highly encouraged to ensure employer approval, host institution arrangements, and submission of all required documents.
