This prestigious recognition, presented jointly by Women in Renewable Energy (WiRE) and the Canadian Renewable Energy Association (CanREA), celebrates leadership, innovation, and lasting impact in the renewable energy sector.

    The WiRE & CanREA Woman of Renewable Energy Award 2025 honours a woman who has demonstrated excellence in advancing Canada’s clean energy transition. Whether through groundbreaking research, impactful leadership, or pioneering renewable energy projects, the award seeks to highlight women making a measurable difference in the industry.

    WiRE and CanREA have a shared commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the renewable energy space. This award is a continuation of their dedication to recognising the contributions of women professionals and encouraging more female participation in the sector.

    • Nominations Open: 29 July 2025
    • Nominations Close: 3 September 2025, 5:00 p.m. (Eastern Time)
    • Winner Announcement: 10 September 2025
    • Award Presentation: 6–8 October 2025 at the Electricity Transformation Canada (ETC 2025) conference, Enercare Centre, Toronto.
