About the WashU Law AI Fellowship Program 2025
The WashU Law AI Fellowship Program 2025 is a pioneering initiative under the university’s AI Collaborative. It supports selected law students to explore, research, and influence the evolving role of AI in the legal profession. Fellows will contribute to key projects, receive public recognition, and benefit from exposure to leading voices in legal technology.
Who Can Apply?
This fellowship is open to students who will be enrolled in the 2025–2026 academic year at WashU School of Law. Eligible applicants include:
- 2L and 3L JD candidates
- LLM students
- JSD students
Fellowship Commitments
Selected fellows will be expected to dedicate 3 to 5 hours per week to the programme. Most activities are remote, with occasional in-person events. Core responsibilities include:
- Contributing to the WashU Law AI Collaborative newsletter and editorial projects
- Supporting the development of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) programmes
- Writing public-facing blog posts on topics like generative AI, tech policy, and algorithmic bias
- Assisting with outreach to WashU alumni in the legal tech sector
- Helping to plan and manage AI-related events
