    Deadline: August 5, 2025

Are you a passionate young changemaker in Kenya looking to build emotional resilience and drive climate justice in your community? The Resilience Fellowship 2025–2026 is now open for applications! This fully funded 9-month programme offers immersive training, intergenerational mentorship, and practical leadership opportunities to youth aged 18–26 in Kenya. Through the Resilience Fellowship 2025–2026, selected fellows will deepen their facilitation skills, strengthen community care practices, and become certified Mental Health First Aiders—all while earning a monthly stipend.

What Is the Resilience Fellowship 2025–2026?

The Resilience Fellowship 2025–2026 is a transformational initiative led by The Resilience Project. Now in its fourth edition, the programme is specifically designed to support youth changemakers working at the intersection of climate justice, emotional wellness, and community-led healing.

Running from September 2025 to March 2026, the fellowship centres on building capacity among young leaders to facilitate peer support, manage emotional burnout, and lead community resilience circles in their local areas. It is an intensive, immersive experience that combines restorative retreats, training certifications, group facilitation, and one-on-one mentorship.

    Key Benefits of the Fellowship

    Monthly Stipend

Fellows receive a KES 40,000 stipend to support their commitment during the programme. Travel costs for the retreat are also fully covered.

    Resilience Residential (Oct 3–7, 2025)

Participants will take part in a five-day immersive retreat in nature. This “Resilience Residential” includes nourishing meals, creative expression, wellness workshops, and powerful group sharing sessions.

    Mental Health First Aid Certification

Fellows undergo a two-day online certification course to become Mental Health First Aiders—equipping them with tools to support emotional well-being in their communities.

    Peer-Led Community Circles

Fellows will co-facilitate Resilience Circles—a series of 8 weekly peer-support sessions with 12–16 other young people in their community.

    Intergenerational Mentorship

Each fellow pair will be matched with mentors offering guidance in leadership, facilitation, and mental health care throughout the 9-month journey.

    Long-Term Growth

Graduates of the fellowship will join a wider ecosystem of young African leaders and facilitators committed to building emotionally resilient, socially just communities.
