The Marcellus Policy Fellowship – Fall 2025 is now accepting applications! This prestigious, fully virtual programme is designed to equip the next generation of foreign policy thinkers with the skills, experience, and network they need to make meaningful contributions in government, think tanks, academia, media, and beyond.

    The Marcellus Policy Fellowship – Fall 2025 is a project of the John Quincy Adams Society and is ideal for anyone committed to a more realistic, restrained, and strategic approach to U.S. foreign policy.


    About the Fellowship

    The Marcellus Policy Fellowship is a virtual training programme that takes place over several weeks each fall and spring. Fellows meet online via Zoom and receive mentorship and guidance in policy writing. The fellowship provides participants with expert-led instruction, structured writing milestones, and personalised feedback, culminating in a portfolio of impactful policy work.

    Each cohort includes 8–12 fellows, with participants receiving a $750 stipend upon completion.

    Application Requirements

    To apply for the Marcellus Policy Fellowship – Fall 2025, applicants must submit:

    1. Statement of Purpose: Describing your interests, career goals, and alignment with the fellowship’s vision for realism and restraint in U.S. foreign policy.
    2. Writing Sample: A maximum 5-page sample (PDF) focused on U.S. foreign policy.
    3. Résumé: Maximum 2 pages (PDF), not a CV.
