    The British Council is inviting experienced digital media and podcast production consultants to submit proposals for a three-year contract to develop and deliver a Live Podcast & Digital Media Production series under the SoCreative eLearning Masterclass Series. This exciting opportunity aims to engage creative communities across Africa and the UK, amplifying cultural exchange and digital storytelling.

    About the British Council

    The British Council fosters peace and prosperity by building trust and cultural understanding between the UK and countries worldwide. Active in over 100 countries, it supports individuals—especially young people and creatives—by providing access to arts, culture, education, English language learning, and international qualifications.

    Through programmes such as Creative Economy, Culture Connects, and Culture Responds to Shared Global Challenges, the British Council collaborates with artists, organisations, and policymakers to build inclusive, vibrant, and sustainable cultural sectors globally.

    Project Overview

    The SoCreative eLearning Programme, developed in partnership with institutions like the University of Arts London, Henley Business School, Afrinolly, and Belle & Co., has enrolled over 40,000 learners across Africa. The programme now seeks to expand its reach through a dynamic, live podcast masterclass series designed to foster peer learning and expert insights through interactive digital content.

    Scope of Work

    Selected partners will collaborate with the British Council to deliver a professional, live-streamed podcast and audiovisual masterclass experience with the following components:

    1. Creative Planning & Technical Setup

    • Co-design the production blueprint.
    • Deploy digital and physical infrastructure (e.g., Zoom, StreamYard, Riverside.fm).
    • Set up interaction tools such as chat, Q&A, and polls.

    2. Live Production

    • Produce 10 live podcast episodes annually (45–60 minutes each).
    • Engage audiences in real-time via moderators and Q&A.
    • Manage speaker scheduling and logistics.

    3. Post-Production & Content Repurposing

    • Edit full-length podcast and video sessions.
    • Generate bite-sized content for TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.
    • Subtitled SCORM-compatible versions for the SoCreative LMS.
    • Design promotional visual assets (thumbnails, teasers, overlays).

    4. Audience Engagement

    • Manage registration and attendance tracking.
    • Co-promote content with British Council marketing teams.
    • Create annual reports on Gen Z engagement strategy and outcomes.

    Deliverables

    • 10 masterclass sessions annually for 3 years.
    • 10 edited video and podcast episodes per year.
    • At least 15 short-form clips per year for social media.
    • English content with French subtitles.
    • Reports on engagement metrics and promotional strategy.

    Who Should Apply?

    Eligible applicants must demonstrate:

    • Experience in live podcast and video production with interactive features.
    • Proven post-production skills across educational and social platforms.
    • A track record of engaging African Gen Z and cross-generational audiences.
    • Understanding of entrepreneurship, storytelling, or creative industries.

    Submission Requirements

    Interested suppliers must provide:

    • Company profile and portfolio (2–3 similar projects).
    • A creative concept note (1–2 pages).
    • Detailed technical proposal and team bios.
    • Marketing and communications plan.
    • Budget in GBP (payments will be made in local currency).
    • Timeline and availability.
    • Three client references.
