    The AU/CIEFFA Call for Articles on Girls and Women’s Education 2025 is now open for submissions! Organised by the African Union International Centre for the Education of Girls and Women in Africa (AU/CIEFFA), the initiative aims to promote evidence-based research that informs policy and drives meaningful change in education systems on the continent.

    About the AU/CIEFFA Call for Articles on Girls and Women’s Education 2025

    This prestigious call seeks original, high-quality scientific articles addressing key challenges and opportunities in the education of girls and women. The AU/CIEFFA Call for Articles on Girls and Women’s Education 2025 is designed to enrich Africa-centred knowledge systems, amplify academic voices, and support policy development grounded in rigorous research.

    Objectives of the Call

    The 2025 article call focuses on the following objectives:

    • Support academic discourse on AU/CIEFFA’s four strategic thematic areas
    • Provide an analytical lens to understand issues in girls’ and women’s education
    • Inspire innovative solutions that can inform education policies across Africa
    • Foster knowledge-sharing among scholars, researchers, and practitioners

    Key Strategic Themes

    Contributors are expected to align their submissions with one or more of AU/CIEFFA’s strategic priority areas:

    1. Gender-sensitive educational frameworks
    2. Curriculum reform and teacher training
    3. STEAM skill development and technical–vocational training
    4. Education in emergencies and humanitarian contexts

    These themes reflect AU/CIEFFA’s commitment to tackling systemic inequalities and fostering inclusive, gender-responsive education systems.

    Authors of selected articles will benefit from:

    Interested applicants must submit the following via email:

    • A summary (250–300 words) outlining the article’s focus, objectives, methodology, and expected outcomes
    • A complete article in .docx format
    • An academic CV of the author(s)
