    The Embassy of France in Abuja Call for Applications 2025 is now open to accredited Nigerian universities seeking to establish Digital Resource Centres. This initiative is part of France’s broader commitment to strengthening French-language learning, digital competence, and youth employability in Nigeria.     About the Programme

    Each selected institution can receive up to €15,000 to fund:

    • Digital equipment and tools
    • Training programmes
    • Pedagogical content and activities

    Applicants are also encouraged to contribute in-kind support, such as providing dedicated staff, spaces, or high-speed internet to support the long-term sustainability of the centre.


    Who Can Apply?

    This opportunity is open to:

    • Public or private universities in Nigeria
    • Institutions with an existing French department or language programme

    To qualify, applicants must:

    • Commit to providing a physical space within their institution for the centre
    • Demonstrate a plan for the medium-term sustainability of the centre’s activities and infrastructure

    Evaluation Criteria

    Applications will be reviewed and scored based on the following weighted criteria:

    What Should Be Included in Your Application?

    Applications must be submitted in both English and French, and should include the following components:

    • A detailed project description (maximum 5 pages)
    • A provisional budget
    • A commitment letter from the university leadership (Vice-Chancellor or equivalent)
    • CVs of key project team members
    • Optional: photos or floor plans of the space proposed for the centre
