The CCAC Food and Nutrition Challenge 2025 is now open for proposals! This global initiative by the Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) seeks innovative, cross-sectoral solutions that simultaneously address climate and public health challenges by reducing food loss and waste while enhancing food security and nutrition.

This funding call represents a unique opportunity for organizations working at the intersection of environmental sustainability and nutritional well-being to scale their impact.

About the CCAC Food and Nutrition Challenge 2025

The CCAC Food and Nutrition Challenge 2025 focuses on supporting projects that reduce super pollutants like methane and black carbon through interventions in food systems. The ultimate goal is to lower emissions by addressing food loss and waste while also reducing malnutrition globally.

CCAC emphasizes integrated, collaborative action and is looking for proposals that combine scientific innovation, cross-sectoral cooperation, and scalable interventions that can be implemented in low- and middle-income countries.

    Geographical Focus

This is a global call, with special attention to projects in:

    • Iraq
    • Jordan
    • Lebanon
    • Morocco
However, strong proposals from other countries are equally welcome. The key is that the project addresses the dual goals of climate and nutrition impacts in meaningful, measurable ways.

    Key Dates

    • Call Released: Late June to early July 2025
    • Application Deadline: 6 August 2025

Applicants are encouraged to begin the process early to allow for internal reviews, partnership coordination, and budgeting.

    • Highlight existing partnerships and multi-sectoral collaboration
