The Falling Walls Lab Ibadan Nigeria – DAAD 2025 is now accepting applications! This international science and innovation competition offers you the opportunity to present your idea in just three minutes and potentially advance to the prestigious Falling Walls Science Summit.


    About Falling Walls Lab Ibadan Nigeria – DAAD 2025

    The Falling Walls Lab Ibadan Nigeria – DAAD 2025 is part of a global platform that promotes exceptional ideas and connects emerging talents from all disciplines. The initiative is supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the German Consulate. Participants will have just 3 minutes to pitch their ideas in English to a panel of experts and a diverse audience.

    • Date: 12 September 2025
    • Time: 3 PM (WAT)
    • Venue: Subomi Balogun Conference Center, Mini Hall, UI Hotels, University of Ibadan

    This unique event invites participants to “break the wall” – solve pressing challenges or present visionary concepts that have the potential to drive impact across science and society.


    Application Deadline

    • Deadline to Apply: 10 August 2025

    Interested applicants should submit their entries as early as possible to ensure eligibility and proper preparation for the event.


    Who Can Apply?

    Applicants must be at least 18 years old and meet one of the following academic qualifications:

    • Currently enrolled as a university student or postdoctoral researcher
    • Hold a Bachelor’s degree (within the last 10 years)
    • Hold a Master’s degree (within the last 7 years)
    • Hold a PhD (within the last 5 years)
    • Equivalent qualifications for holders of medical degrees

    The competition is open to individuals from all fields of study and professional sectors.
