Fellowship Overview
The AIR New Voices Fellowship is an 8-week virtual program tailored for reporters, producers, hosts, and editors currently working—or recently active—in the U.S. public media or podcasting industry.

- Fellowship Period: September 2 – October 23, 2025
- Weekly Sessions: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6–8 PM ET (all virtual)
Structure:
- Weekly webinars featuring experienced media professionals
- A capstone story pitch presented to a panel from NPR and other major media outlets
- One-on-one mentorship and curated networking
- Full access to a cohort and alumni network
Who Should Apply?
The fellowship is open to professionals who:
- Are at least 18 years old
- Live and work in the United States
- Have an active or recent role in public radio or podcasting (reporter, host, editor, or producer)
- Come from historically marginalized or underrepresented communities
- Can fully participate in all scheduled sessions
Note: A U.S. bank account is required for stipend payment.
