The Muna Kalati SDG4Kids Animation Contest 2025 invites animators across Africa to create compelling, child-friendly animations that promote the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).     About the Muna Kalati SDG4Kids Animation Contest 2025

    Launched by Muna Kalati, a leading African organization dedicated to children’s literature and media, the Muna Kalati SDG4Kids Animation Contest 2025 is designed to engage youth through animations that highlight the relevance of the SDGs in their lives. Whether it’s quality education, climate action, gender equality, or child health, your animation can become a powerful tool for awareness and inspiration.


    Who Can Apply?

    The contest is open to:

    • 2D, 3D, or AI-based animators
    • Individual artists or creative teams
    • Students and early-career professionals
    • NGOs, educators, and community creatives
    • Women are strongly encouraged to apply

    Multiple entries are allowed per participant. This is your chance to showcase how storytelling can bring positive change in Africa.


    Submission Guidelines

    To be eligible, your animation must:

    • Be original content (no re-use of copyrighted materials)
    • Be at least 3 minutes long
    • Be submitted in MP4 or MOV format (HD recommended)
    • Use any African language, English, French, or Portuguese (English subtitles required)
    • Clearly communicate at least one SDG with youth actions/solutions
