    Deadline: July 15, 2025

Are you passionate about peacebuilding and youth leadership? The CYPAN Country Representatives 2025 programme offers young changemakers across the Commonwealth a rare opportunity to serve as national leaders for peace, cohesion, and youth empowerment. This is your chance to represent your country and shape impactful initiatives over the course of a dynamic 12-month appointment.

If you’re between 15–29 years old and eager to lead youth development at a national level, the CYPAN Country Representatives 2025 opportunity may be your next big step.

    What is CYPAN?

The Commonwealth Youth Peace Ambassadors Network (CYPAN) is a youth-led organization working under the Commonwealth Secretariat. It empowers young people to promote peace, counter violent extremism, and lead grassroots interventions in line with the United Nations Security Council Resolution (UNSCR) 2250 on Youth, Peace and Security.

Backed by partners such as the Institute for Strategic Dialogue and the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office, CYPAN operates across all 56 Commonwealth countries and has become a flagship platform for youth-led peacebuilding.

    About the Country Representative Role

The Country Representative role is a voluntary leadership position lasting 12 months (renewable based on performance), and it is fully remote. Representatives act as CYPAN’s primary liaison in their respective countries.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead a national team to organize six or more peace-building initiatives annually
    • Promote CYPAN events and campaigns locally
    • Recruit and manage volunteers, stakeholders, and sponsors
    • Submit monthly and final reports on all activities
    • Foster partnerships with NGOs, government bodies, and private sector players
    • Represent your country in Commonwealth peace and development forums

Time commitment: Approximately 15 hours per week

    Eligibility Criteria

To apply as a CYPAN Country Representative in 2025, you must:

    • Be familiar with UNSCR 2250 and countering violent extremism (P/CVE) frameworks
    • Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
    • Be proficient in English

    Why You Should Apply

This opportunity is ideal for young leaders seeking to:

    • Make a tangible impact on peace and community resilience
    • Gain experience in international diplomacy and development
    • Connect with other youth leaders across the Commonwealth
    • Strengthen leadership, advocacy, and project coordination skills
