Subject: Request for Support — HIV/AIDS Mass Sensitization and Screening Project in Kyenjojo District

      Dear sir/madam
      Warm greetings from Kyenjojo District!

My name is Twesige Joshua, an Ugandan Registered Nurse and a final-year student of Clinical Medicine. I am writing to express my deep concern about the rising HIV/AIDS prevalence rate in Kyenjojo District, which has increased to 6.3% — higher than the national average of 5%.

As a health professional and a proud citizen of Kyenjojo, I have a strong passion for improving the well-being of my community. From research conducted by my team, we discovered that many residents still lack adequate knowledge about HIV/AIDS — including how it is transmitted, prevented, and managed. This lack of awareness continues to contribute to the spread of the virus.

In response, we have developed a project aimed at mass sensitization and community-based HIV screening within Kyenjojo Town Council and surrounding areas. Our goal is to increase awareness, promote early testing, and reduce the HIV/AIDS burden in our community.

I currently serve at and manage a Private Not-for-Profit (PNFP) health facility known as God’s Care Medical Centre, operating at the level of a Health Centre III. Through this facility, we have already made great strides in saving lives—especially by reducing maternal deaths and providing essential free health services to the needy. These include:

      Free Antenatal Care (ANC) services
      Family Planning
      HIV/AIDS treatment (ART) services
      Maternity and delivery care
However, to expand our reach and successfully implement the planned HIV/AIDS sensitization and screening project, we require financial and technical support.

I, therefore, humbly request the opportunity to submit our detailed project proposal for your review and possible funding consideration. Together, we can help protect lives, empower communities, and move closer to ending HIV/AIDS in Kyenjojo District.

Thank you very much for your time and consideration. I look forward to your positive response.

      Warm regards,

      TWEIGE JOSHUA
