💡 Expert Opinion: How to Stand Out

According to Grants Database, literary prizes like the Drue Heinz Literature Prize demand not only polished writing but also impeccable presentation. Here are their top recommendations:

“Writers should ensure their manuscript flows as a coherent whole, even if it’s a collection. Avoid including weak or filler stories just to meet the page count. Judges are drawn to original voice, thematic clarity, and well-edited prose. Professional formatting and adherence to blind submission standards are also non-negotiable.” – GrantsDatabase.org

If you need help refining your manuscript or your publication list, contact grantsdatabase.org for proposal drafting, refining, and review.
