    Are you a young African innovator tackling climate challenges in your community? The African Climate Innovation Challenge 2025 is now open for applications — offering up to $10,000 in funding, hands-on support, and international visibility for early-stage climate solutions. This is a golden opportunity to join a community of changemakers working toward a climate-resilient Africa.


    About the African Climate Innovation Challenge 2025

    The African Climate Innovation Challenge 2025 is an entrepreneurship initiative powered by 3 E’s 4 Africa, Green Africa Youth Organization (GAYO), and Start.Up Lounge Africa. It is designed to accelerate youth-led innovation addressing climate adaptation and mitigation across African communities.

    The program targets young ecopreneurs with bold, scalable, and community-rooted solutions. Finalists will undergo tailored training and gain access to global stakeholders, with the top teams receiving financial awards to implement their ideas.


    What You’ll Gain

    Participants in the African Climate Innovation Challenge 2025 will receive:

    • 💡 Seed Funding: Up to USD $10,000 for winners to implement their projects.
    • 📚 Training & Mentorship: A customized curriculum including workshops, pitch training, business development, and fundraising.
    • 🌍 International Exposure: Finalists will pitch their innovations to global climate leaders and investors at a physical event.
    • 🤝 Networking Opportunities: Connect with mentors, funders, and fellow innovators across Africa and beyond.

    Who Can Apply?

    This opportunity is open to early-stage African teams that meet the following criteria:

    • Team Composition: At least two team members, aged 18–35, of African descent.
    • Stage of Innovation: A working prototype or MVP (minimum viable product).
    • Focus: Project must address a climate mitigation or adaptation challenge.
    • Language: Strong working proficiency in English or French.
    • Gender Balance: Gender-diverse teams are highly encouraged; ideally 40–50% female or female-led.

    Application Deadline

    🗓 Deadline to Apply: July 6, 2025
    ⏳ Early application is strongly encouraged, as the selection process is competitive.
