Request for Proposals: Branding of PIND’s Special Purpose Vehicle

Are you a creative branding agency with a strong portfolio in financial services or impact investment branding? Here’s an exciting opportunity to position a game-changing financing initiative for SMEs in Nigeria. The Foundation for Partnership Initiatives in the Niger Delta (PIND) is currently accepting proposals for the branding of its new Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV). The Request for Proposals: Branding of PIND’s Special Purpose Vehicle (Nigeria) is open until 9 June 2025.

This SPV will support SMEs in critical sectors such as Access to Energy, Agriculture, and Youth Entrepreneurship, with a focus on promoting sustainable development and inclusive growth in the Niger Delta.

    What’s the Branding Assignment About?

PIND seeks a qualified branding agency to craft a distinctive and powerful brand identity for its Special Purpose Vehicle, a key local currency financing tool for Nigerian SMEs.

The selected agency will be responsible for:

    • Developing a brand strategy (value proposition, mission, messaging framework)
    • Creating a brand identity (name, logo, tagline, visual design)
    • Writing a compelling brand story and stakeholder messaging
    • Designing digital assets (website, social media templates)
    • Producing collateral (brochures, investor decks, business cards)
    • Proposing a launch and communications strategy

    Who Should Apply?

This RFP is ideal for agencies that:

    • Have a proven track record in branding financial services or impact investing
    • Operate in Sub-Saharan Africa or emerging markets
    • Understand the blended finance ecosystem
    • Can clearly communicate complex financial and social objectives

    Duration & Timeline

The branding work will run from June 15 to September 30, 2025, with a possibility of extension based on performance.

    Evaluation Criteria

PIND will evaluate proposals based on:

    • Creativity and innovation
    • Alignment with the SPV’s vision and goals
    • Cost-effectiveness and budget clarity
    • Relevant experience in similar projects
    • Strong visual and digital branding portfolios
    • Cross-sector understanding (private, public, philanthropic)

    How to Apply

    Agencies must submit:

    • Agency profile and qualifications
    • Portfolio of relevant branding work
    • Project approach and timeline
    • Detailed financial proposal in Nigerian Naira

💡 Expert Opinion from Grant Database

According to our senior proposal strategist at Grant Database:

“To stand out, agencies should focus on aligning the brand narrative with the broader development goals of the Niger Delta. Proposals that demonstrate both cultural relevance and global branding standards tend to perform best. It’s not just about design—it’s about impact-driven storytelling that resonates with funders, investors, and SMEs alike.”

    Target Audience of the SPV

    The branding should speak to:

    • Local SMEs in agriculture, energy, and youth sectors
    • Development finance institutions (DFIs)
    • Impact and commercial investors
    • Policymakers, foundations, and government bodies

    Why This Matters

This SPV is poised to bridge the financing gap for growth-stage businesses in Nigeria. A compelling brand will enhance visibility, trust, and investor confidence—paving the way for long-term economic development in the region.

This is your chance to shape the identity of a transformative initiative. Don’t miss it!
