    BIC Africa Online Training Programme 2026 for Tanzanian Women Entrepreneurs

    The BIC Africa Online Training Programme 2026 for Tanzanian Women Entrepreneurs is a fully funded online training initiative designed to strengthen the capacity of women-led businesses in Tanzania. The programme aims to equip women entrepreneurs with the knowledge, tools, and strategic support needed to grow sustainable and scalable businesses.

    Organised under the BIC Africa initiative, the programme will bring together selected women entrepreneurs for expert-led online training sessions and group coaching delivered by experienced professionals from Africa and Europe.

    Through this initiative, participants will gain valuable insights into business strategy, financial management, leadership, and investment readiness while connecting with other women entrepreneurs and international innovation networks.


    Overview of the BIC Africa Online Training Programme 2026 for Tanzanian Women Entrepreneurs

    The BIC Africa Online Training Programme 2026 for Tanzanian Women Entrepreneurs will select approximately 20 women entrepreneurs from Tanzania to participate in a structured online training programme.

    The programme is designed to support women who are already running businesses and want to strengthen their business models, expand their markets, and improve their ability to attract investment.

    Participants will engage in interactive sessions, practical learning modules, and coaching activities focused on helping entrepreneurs refine their business strategies and leadership capabilities.


    Programme Duration

    The online programme will run for two weeks, from:

    23 March – 2 April 2026

    During this period, participants will attend six interactive online sessions facilitated by entrepreneurship experts.


    Training Schedule

    All sessions will take place online from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM (EAT).

    Week 1

    • 24 March 2026
    • 25 March 2026
    • 26 March 2026

    Week 2

    • 31 March 2026
    • 1 April 2026
    • 2 April 2026

    Each session will last approximately two hours, combining expert instruction with interactive engagement.


    Programme Structure

    The training programme consists of two main components designed to build both technical business knowledge and leadership capacity.

    1. Online Training Modules

    Participants will take part in four interactive training modules covering key aspects of business development and growth, including:

    • Defining the mission and vision of a business
    • Developing a strong unique value proposition
    • Building and improving business models
    • Creating an effective go-to-market strategy
    • Strengthening financial management tools and practices
    • Understanding access to finance and investment readiness

    These modules are designed to provide entrepreneurs with practical tools that can be applied directly to their businesses.

    2. Group Coaching Sessions

    In addition to the training modules, participants will also take part in two group coaching sessions that focus on leadership and communication skills.

    Topics covered include:

    • Leadership development for entrepreneurs
    • Storytelling and pitching techniques

    These sessions will help entrepreneurs improve how they present their businesses to partners, investors, and customers.


    Benefits of the Programme

    Participants selected for the BIC Africa Online Training Programme 2026 for Tanzanian Women Entrepreneurs will gain access to a wide range of benefits, including:

    To receive the certificate, participants must attend at least five of the six training sessions.

    Importantly, participation in the programme is completely free of charge for selected applicants.


    Eligibility Criteria

    To be eligible for the programme, applicants must meet the following requirements:

    • Must be a woman entrepreneur aged 18 years or older
    • Must be the founder, co-founder, or CEO of a business
    • Must operate a registered business that is already generating revenue
    • Must have a good working knowledge of English
    • The business must be based in mainland Tanzania or Zanzibar
    • The business must have online visibility, such as a website or active social media presence

    Preferred Qualifications

    While not mandatory, applicants may be considered more competitive if they meet the following criteria:

    • The business has been officially registered for at least one year
    • The company has an operational team supporting its activities
    • The business demonstrates strong potential for scalability and growth

    Selection Criteria

    Applications will be evaluated based on the following factors:

    1. Business Description and Model

    Assessors will evaluate the clarity of the business model, the quality of the business description, and the level of online visibility.

    2. Innovation, Impact, and Scalability

    Applications will be assessed based on how innovative the business is, its potential impact, and its ability to scale.

    3. Motivation to Participate

    Applicants must clearly demonstrate their motivation to participate and how the training will benefit their business.

    Each category is scored out of 10 points, giving a maximum possible score of 30 points.

    Applicants must achieve a minimum score of 21 out of 30 to be considered for selection.
