    Builders of Africa’s Future 2026

    Deadline: March 31, 2026

The Builders of Africa’s Future 2026 programme is now open for applications! This exciting initiative, organised by the African Diaspora Network (ADN), recognises and supports early-stage African entrepreneurs driving innovation and sustainable development across the continent. Now in its ninth cohort, the programme continues its mission to empower ventures that are making measurable impact in key sectors including health, education, agriculture, energy, and financial inclusion.

About Builders of Africa’s Future 2026

The Builders of Africa’s Future 2026 accelerator programme celebrates African entrepreneurs who are creating practical, scalable solutions to some of the continent’s most pressing challenges. Designed for early-stage innovators, it provides critical support to help enterprises grow, attract investment, and expand their impact.

Each year, selected participants undergo an intensive development journey that enhances their business knowledge, leadership skills, and investor readiness. The programme focuses on equipping founders with the right tools to sustain and scale their operations in Africa’s dynamic markets.

    Benefits of the Programme

Selected entrepreneurs will gain access to a range of benefits that help them refine their models and strengthen their ventures. These include:

    • Enterprise development training delivered by the African Management Institute (AMI) in Kenya.
    • Mentorship and expert guidance from experienced business leaders and investors.
    • Networking opportunities with ecosystem partners, entrepreneurs, and potential funders.
    • Visibility and investment readiness through participation in the prestigious African Diaspora Investment Symposium (participants cover their travel expenses).

Through these opportunities, participants will develop a strong foundation for growth and long-term sustainability.

    Who Can Apply?

Applications are open to founders and executives of legally registered African companies—both nonprofit and for-profit—whose innovations address real needs within the continent. Eligible ventures must meet the following criteria:

    • Be registered and operational for at least six months.
    • Demonstrate early traction, such as measurable impact, user growth, or revenue.
    • Offer innovative and contextually relevant solutions suited to African challenges.
    • Commit to participate in virtual monthly sessions, onboarding, and a final pitch day.
    • Represent geographic and gender diversity across Africa.

This inclusive approach ensures that impactful ventures from all regions and sectors have the opportunity to participate.

The programme supports enterprises working across several key areas of development, including:
