    Ed Bradley Journalism Fellowship – Summer 2026

    The Ed Bradley Journalism Fellowship – Summer 2026 is an exceptional opportunity for aspiring journalists to gain world-class training and exposure at one of the most prestigious journalism institutions in the United States. Organised by the Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute in partnership with the Dow Jones News Fund, this fully funded, week-long programme takes place at New York University from 8th to 14th June 2026.


    About the Ed Bradley Journalism Fellowship – Summer 2026

    The Ed Bradley Journalism Fellowship – Summer 2026 aims to address the persistent underrepresentation of African-American males in newsrooms while welcoming applicants of all backgrounds who are committed to supporting this mission. The programme seeks to nurture talented, motivated college students by providing them with an immersive experience in the art and practice of journalism.

    A total of 20 students will be selected to participate in this rigorous and enriching training. Throughout the week, participants will engage in intensive sessions designed to enhance their journalistic skills, expand their professional networks, and prepare them for impactful careers in media and communications.

    • Location: New York City, USA
    • Duration: 8th – 14th June 2026
    • Number of Participants: 20 college students
    • Application Deadline: 1st March 2026
    • Decision Notifications: Early April 2026

    The fellowship includes full sponsorship for programme instruction, accommodation, meals, and transportation to and from the workshop. This ensures that selected fellows can focus entirely on their professional growth without worrying about financial constraints.


    Eligibility Criteria

    To qualify for the Ed Bradley Journalism Fellowship – Summer 2026, applicants must:

    • Be U.S. college students who align with the fellowship’s mission and values.
    • Have completed their freshman year by the summer of 2025.
    • Demonstrate a keen interest in journalism, storytelling, and contributing to greater diversity in the newsroom.

    This fellowship is especially ideal for students seeking to build foundational skills, gain mentorship from seasoned journalists, and explore career paths within the media industry.
