    About the Internet Society Early Career Fellowship 2026

    The Internet Society Early Career Fellowship 2026 supports professionals from diverse backgrounds — whether technical, policy, economic, or social — to enhance their leadership and project management skills. The six-month programme combines expert-led learning, mentorship, and peer collaboration, enabling participants to design and implement innovative projects that contribute to the growth and resilience of the Internet.

    Through this initiative, the Internet Society nurtures the next generation of Internet leaders who are committed to making the Internet open, globally connected, secure, and trustworthy.

    • Duration: Six months (virtual learning and project implementation)

    Eligibility Criteria

    The fellowship is open to early-career professionals (with less than 10 years of professional experience) working in Internet-related fields such as:

    • Internet infrastructure and telecommunications
    • Policy, governance, and regulation
    • Economic or business aspects of Internet development
    • Community and civil society engagement on Internet issues
    • Technology innovation and startups

    Applicants must meet the following requirements:

    • Hold a bachelor’s or vocational degree, or possess a minimum of three years of relevant work experience
    • Have under 10 years of professional experience in an Internet-related field
    • Submit an innovative project proposal aimed at strengthening or expanding the Internet
    • Have reliable Internet access and a suitable device
    • Be proficient in written and spoken English
    • Be able to commit at least six hours per week throughout the programme
