    The LEAP Emerge Fellowship 2026–2027 is a prestigious, year-long leadership development programme designed for undergraduate students preparing to transition into the professional workforce. The fellowship focuses on career readiness, leadership growth, mentorship, and community impact, equipping fellows with the skills and confidence needed to succeed after graduation.

    The LEAP Emerge Fellowship 2026–2027 is open to students from diverse academic backgrounds and provides structured professional development through virtual programming aligned with the academic year.


    About the LEAP Emerge Fellowship 2026–2027

    The LEAP Emerge Fellowship is a virtual leadership and career preparation programme running alongside the 2026–2027 academic year. It is specifically designed for students entering their final year of undergraduate study who are seeking structured mentorship, leadership training, and real-world professional exposure.

    Participants engage in monthly leadership development sessions, receive personalised mentorship, and complete a community-focused impact project, all while balancing their academic commitments.


    Programme Duration and Format

    • Programme Period: August 2026 – May 2027
    • Duration: One academic year
    • Format: Fully virtual
    • Time Commitment: Monthly sessions lasting approximately 1–2 hours

    The programme is structured to complement students’ academic schedules while delivering consistent and meaningful professional development throughout the year.


    Who Is Eligible to Apply?

    Applicants must meet the following criteria:

    • Students entering their final year of undergraduate study during the 2026–2027 academic year
    • Junior or 5th-year students who will graduate after the 2026–2027 academic year are also eligible
    • Open to students from all academic disciplines and backgrounds
    • No race or ethnicity requirement

    The fellowship welcomes applicants who are motivated, curious, and committed to leadership and professional growth.


    Programme Structure and Key Components

    Fellows selected for the LEAP Emerge Fellowship will participate in the following core activities:

    Leadership Development Sessions

    Monthly virtual sessions focused on leadership skills, professional communication, career planning, and workplace readiness.

    Mentorship

    Each fellow is paired with multiple professional mentors who provide guidance on:

    • Career exploration
    • Résumé and CV development
    • Interview preparation
    • Industry insights and networking

    Community Impact Project

    Fellows collaborate on a Community Impact Project centred on issues affecting Asian and Pacific Islander (API) communities, allowing participants to apply leadership skills to real-world challenges.

    Professional Development Hours

    Participants are required to complete 30 hours of professional development, culminating in a certificate upon successful completion of the programme.
