    The LeadGreen Fellowship Cohort III (2026) is now open for applications! This fully funded 16-week virtual fellowship offers passionate young Africans a transformative opportunity to develop leadership capacity, deepen their understanding of climate action, and drive sustainability-focused solutions within their communities.

    The LeadGreen Fellowship Cohort III (2026) empowers emerging African leaders to gain world-class mentorship, training, and access to a network of change-makers shaping the continent’s green future.


    About the LeadGreen Fellowship

    The LeadGreen Fellowship is a fully funded leadership and climate action program designed to nurture young Africans dedicated to sustainability and environmental impact. Over a period of 16 weeks, participants will embark on an intensive virtual journey that combines leadership development, climate education, and project-based learning.

    Fellows will collaborate on real-world projects, gain mentorship from industry experts, and join a pan-African network of sustainability-driven leaders creating meaningful change across diverse communities.


    Programme Objectives

    The fellowship is built around three key pillars:

    1. Leadership Development: Strengthening fellows’ capacity to lead effectively and ethically in the climate and sustainability space.
    2. Climate Action Skills: Equipping participants with practical knowledge to design, implement, and evaluate climate projects.
    3. Community Impact: Empowering young leaders to apply their learning toward solving pressing environmental challenges within their communities.

    Who Can Apply

    Applications are invited from motivated young Africans who meet the following criteria:

    • Age: 20 to 30 years
    • Citizenship: Must be from any African country
    • Commitment: Willingness to fully participate in the 16-week virtual program
    • Interest: Passion for climate action, sustainability, and environmental impact
    • Purpose: Strong desire to contribute to community development and climate solutions

    Ideal applicants include:

    • Students and recent graduates
    • Early-career professionals
    • Climate advocates or environmental activists
    • Social entrepreneurs and innovators
    • Community organizers and volunteers
