    Deadline: March 16, 2026

The Open Call for Residency Hosts 2025-26 is now open for applications! This exciting opportunity invites organisations across Creative Europe countries to host structured residency programmes for artists and cultural professionals. The programme supports mobility, collaboration, and creative innovation across Europe while fostering sustainable cultural exchange.

    Overview

The Open Call for Residency Hosts 2025-26 is part of a European Commission initiative under the Creative Europe Programme. It provides funding to organisations willing to host artists and cultural practitioners, offering them space, resources, and professional development opportunities to advance their artistic and cultural projects.

This call aims to enhance international collaboration, promote artistic mobility, and encourage creative experimentation within the framework of the New European Bauhaus—a movement focused on sustainable, inclusive, and beautiful transformations through culture and creativity.

    Application Deadline

    📅 Deadline: March 16, 2026

All proposals must be submitted before this date. Late submissions will not be considered.

Residency hosts are encouraged to design programmes that foster collaboration and provide artists with meaningful opportunities to develop new ideas and engage with local communities.

    • Travel support:
      • €400 for travel under 5,000 km
      • €800 for travel over 5,000 km

    Additional Top-Ups

    • Green mobility top-up: +€400 (for non-air travel over 600 km)
    • Visa costs: +€120
    • Overseas/outermost regions: +€175
    • Family support: additional allowance available for dependents

This funding ensures hosts can provide high-quality, accessible, and inclusive residencies across the cultural and creative sectors.

    Participating Countries

Eligible countries include all EU Member States and several partner and neighbouring nations such as Albania, Armenia, Georgia, Norway, Serbia, Tunisia, and Ukraine.
The call also covers EU outermost and overseas territories, including regions like the Canary Islands and Greenland.

Interested organisations can apply through the official Culture Moves Europe platform. The process includes:

    1. Submission of organisational and legal documentation
    2. Detailed proposal outlining residency goals, structure, and resources
