    SickKids WomenPowered Grant 2026

    Deadline: January 20, 2026

The SickKids WomenPowered Grant 2026 is a unique funding opportunity designed to empower community-based organizations that focus on the health, well-being, and development of children and youth. The grant offers up to US $25,000 per project to support initiatives that directly improve the lives of children and families within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

About the SickKids WomenPowered Grant 2026

The SickKids WomenPowered Grant 2026 is a program of the SickKids Foundation, driven by a philanthropic community of women committed to advancing children’s health. Through collective giving, members pool donations and vote on which local charitable projects to fund — empowering smaller, community-based organizations to make meaningful impact.

The grant provides up to US $25,000 per awarded project. Funding can support a specific project or address urgent needs within an eligible organization. Organizations may receive funding for the same project for up to two consecutive years; after that, they must wait 24 months before reapplying for that same project.

For the 2026 cycle, applications are open from November 3, 2025 to January 20, 2026.

    Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the SickKids WomenPowered Grant 2026, applicants must meet all the following requirements:

    • Be a registered Canadian charitable organization in good standing with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).
    • Have a primary mission centered on the health, well-being, or development of children and youth.
    • Offer programs or services that primarily benefit children and youth within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
    • Demonstrate a clear commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in both programming and operations.
    • Have an annual revenue typically between US $1 million and US $5 million (serving as a guideline rather than a strict limit).
    • Show financial stability, strong governance, and measurable impact in their initiatives.
    • Have been operational for at least three years prior to the time of application.

    Funding Priorities

The SickKids WomenPowered Grant 2026 focuses on projects that create direct, measurable benefits to children’s health and well-being. Priority is given to initiatives that:

    • Improve physical, mental, or emotional health outcomes for children and youth.
    • Are led by smaller, community-based organizations rooted in local service delivery.
    • Engage families directly in the design and execution of the program.
    • Advance health equity and improve access to care for underserved or marginalized populations.

These priorities align with SickKids Foundation’s broader mission of promoting health equity, inclusivity, and impactful community engagement.

    About SickKids WomenPowered

SickKids WomenPowered is a donor-led initiative under the SickKids Foundation. It brings together women philanthropists who collectively fund programs that empower and uplift children’s health. Through shared decision-making and pooled contributions, members ensure that smaller organizations have the opportunity to deliver transformative projects and reach children and families who need support the most.

    Application Timeline

    • Application Opens: November 3, 2025
    • Deadline to Apply: January 20, 2026

Successful applicants will receive funding in 2026 to implement approved projects that align with the Foundation’s vision for improving child health and well-being across the Greater Toronto Area.

    Who Should Apply

The SickKids WomenPowered Grant 2026 is ideal for:

    • Canadian registered charities, particularly those based in or serving the GTA
