TaiwanICDF International Higher Education Scholarship Program 2026

    Deadline: March 15, 2026

The TaiwanICDF International Higher Education Scholarship Program 2026 is a fully funded study opportunity for international students seeking undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral degrees in Taiwan. The programme aims to deepen global cooperation, support capacity building, and provide access to high-quality education in partnership with top Taiwanese universities. The TaiwanICDF International Higher Education Scholarship Program 2026 offers comprehensive financial coverage, English-taught programmes, and a streamlined application process, making it one of the most competitive scholarships available globally.

    About the Opportunity

The Taiwan International Cooperation and Development Fund (TaiwanICDF) provides this annual scholarship to support international students from eligible partner countries. Through its collaboration with the Taiwan International Cooperation Alliance (TICA), applicants can pursue degree programmes offered entirely in English across approved Taiwanese universities.

The scholarship covers bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD studies, with academic fields ranging from public health and agriculture to engineering, development studies, business, and information technology. The programme’s mission is to foster sustainable development by equipping scholars with world-class training and educational experience.

    Eligibility

    Applicants must:

    • Be citizens of a country eligible for the TaiwanICDF scholarship.
    • Not hold Taiwanese nationality or be classified as overseas compatriot students.
    • Meet all admission requirements of the chosen partner university and academic programme.
    • Be eligible to obtain a Taiwanese Resident Visa (FS) and later an Alien Resident Certificate (ARC).
    • Not be recipients of any other Taiwan government-sponsored scholarship during the same academic year.
    • For applicants who previously studied under TaiwanICDF or other Taiwan Government scholarships, graduation must have been completed before 31 July 2025 to be considered for the 2026 cycle.
    • Provide the highest academic diploma by 31 July 2026; otherwise, admission may be deferred to the next application cycle.

    Benefits / Award Details

The scholarship is fully funded and provides the following:

    • Application Deadline: 15 March 2026
    • Document Submission Deadline (Diploma): 31 July 2026

Applicants should submit both the TaiwanICDF scholarship application and the university admission application within the application window.

    How to Apply

Applicants must complete two separate applications:

    1. TaiwanICDF Scholarship Application – submitted through the TaiwanICDF online application system.
    2. Partner University Admission Application – completed on the website of the specific university offering the chosen programme.

Both applications must be completed before the closing date to be considered.

    Selection Process

    The selection process involves:

    • Screening by TaiwanICDF for eligibility and document completeness
    • Review by the partner university regarding academic qualifications
    • Final approval by the TaiwanICDF committee
    • Notification to successful candidates through local Taiwan embassies or missions

Only candidates who meet both scholarship and university admission criteria will be selected.
