    Ashton Award for Student Research 2026

    The Ashton Award for Student Research 2026 invites applications from advanced undergraduate and graduate students pursuing research in Asian tropical forest biology. This annual award supports high-quality student research by providing essential funding for fieldwork, travel, and other project-related expenses. The Ashton Award for Student Research 2026 aims to strengthen academic inquiry aligned with the mission of the Arnold Arboretum while honouring long-standing contributions made by Professor Peter Ashton and Mary Ashton.


    About the Opportunity

    The award offers up to US$4,000 to support qualified students undertaking research projects within the field of Asian tropical forest biology. The funding is made possible through the Peter and Mary Ashton Training Fund, established to nurture future leaders and researchers in tropical botany and ecological sciences.

    This award is administered by the Arnold Arboretum and encourages students globally to engage in meaningful research work. It is open to applicants regardless of nationality or university affiliation.

    5. Curriculum Vitae (CV)
    6. Two Recommendation Letters
      • Referees will receive a link by email to upload their letters.
      • Letters must be submitted no later than 1 February 2026.
