    Civic Tech Innovation Challenge on Governance 2025

    Are you a young innovator passionate about improving governance, transparency, and citizen participation in Nigeria? The Civic Tech Innovation Challenge on Governance 2025 is calling on tech-savvy youth to showcase their digital solutions for good governance and civic engagement.

    This initiative offers a powerful platform for young Nigerians to present technology-driven ideas that can make governance more open, inclusive, and accountable. Successful applicants will gain access to mentorship, visibility, and the opportunity to connect with key stakeholders driving change across the civic-tech ecosystem.


    About the Civic Tech Innovation Challenge on Governance 2025

    The Civic Tech Innovation Challenge on Governance 2025 seeks to empower young innovators aged 18–35 in Nigeria who are developing or scaling civic-tech solutions that address governance-related issues.

    Whether you are building a mobile app, an online platform, or a data-driven tool to promote transparency, accountability, or citizen engagement, this challenge provides the visibility and support you need to grow your innovation.

    Selected innovators will have the chance to:

    • Showcase their ideas at the CiTech Summit 2025 in Abuja, Nigeria
    • Gain mentorship from leading experts in civic innovation
    • Network with governance and technology stakeholders
    • Receive media exposure and a certificate of recognition
    • Join a growing community of civic-tech innovators dedicated to improving Nigeria’s governance landscape

    Focus Areas

    The challenge targets digital or technology-enabled solutions that strengthen governance in Nigeria. Key focus areas include:

    • Transparency and accountability in governance
    • Citizen participation and inclusion
    • Anti-corruption and open government tools
    • Public service delivery and civic engagement platforms

    Eligibility Criteria

    To qualify for the Civic Tech Innovation Challenge on Governance 2025, applicants must:

    • Be between 18 and 35 years old
    • Be based in Nigeria or working with Nigerian communities
    • Have a civic-tech solution that promotes good governance, transparency, or citizen participation

    Application Deadline

    Deadline: 26 October 2025

    Applicants are encouraged to submit early to avoid last-minute issues. Shortlisted innovators will be contacted with further details on participation and presentation at the CiTech Summit 2025.
