Meta Data Center Community Action Grants 2026

    Deadline: November 21, 2025

The Meta Data Center Community Action Grants 2026 programme is an initiative by Meta Platforms, Inc. (Meta) designed to empower local communities through technology and education. This funding opportunity supports schools, registered non-profits, and community-based organisations located in areas where Meta operates data centres.

Through this grant, Meta aims to create positive social impact by investing in technology-driven community projects and STEM/STEAM education initiatives that strengthen local capacity, foster innovation, and build sustainable, inclusive communities.

The Meta Data Center Community Action Grants 2026 cycle is now open, with a submission deadline of 21 November 2025.

    What the Grant Supports

The grant provides direct funding to eligible organisations for projects that:

    • Use technology for community benefit and digital inclusion.
    • Enable people to build strong, sustainable communities.
    • Support or improve local STEM/STEAM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics).

Projects should demonstrate measurable community impact, align with Meta’s mission to build community and bring the world closer together, and be implemented within one year of receiving funds.

    Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the Meta Data Center Community Action Grants 2026, applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

    Eligible Applicants

    • In the United States:
      • Registered non-profit organisations and public schools.
      • Schools are encouraged to ensure their superintendent is aware of the proposed project.
    • In Europe:
      • Not-for-profit organisations and government entities, including state-run schools and municipalities, within eligible Meta data centre communities.
    • Project Use:
      • Grant funds must be utilised within one year of the award date.
      • Schools may apply for multiple grants, while other organisations are limited to one application per cycle.

    Ineligible Applicants and Activities

The following are not eligible for this grant:

    • Organisations operating exclusively for religious purposes or engaging in proselytising.
    • Organisations that make employment or service decisions based on race, gender, faith, national origin, sexual orientation, or disability.
    • For-profit companies or U.S. governmental entities.
    • Programmes providing cash grants or scholarships to individuals.
    • Endowments, memorials, or efforts to cover budget deficits.

    Key Dates

    • Application deadline: 21 November 2025
    • Project implementation period: Within one year of the award date

    Eligible Communities

The Meta Data Center Community Action Grants are limited to communities where Meta has an operational data centre. Applicants must verify their eligibility through the programme’s official partner platform before applying.

If you are outside these areas—such as in Africa or other non-listed regions—you may not be eligible for this cycle but should monitor future rounds, as Meta periodically expands its community engagement initiatives.

    Application Guidelines and Tips

To maximise your chances of success, consider the following when preparing your proposal:

    • Clearly show how your project leverages technology to address community challenges or enhance STEM education.
    • Align your proposal with Meta’s vision of building community through innovation.
    • Define specific, measurable outcomes and metrics that demonstrate tangible community impact.
    • Ensure your budget and implementation timeline are realistic and aligned with the one-year project period.
    • Secure necessary approvals or endorsements, such as those from school leadership or local authorities.
    • Review all eligibility terms and confirm your community’s inclusion before submission.

    Application Process

Interested organisations must first confirm that they are part of an eligible Meta data centre community. Once verified, applications can be submitted via the official grant platform.
