Commonwealth Fellowship Programme – Climate Resilience Fellowships 2026

    Deadline: November 19, 2025

Are you a mid-career professional working in climate adaptation practice within a Small Island Developing State (SIDS)? The King’s Commonwealth Fellowship Programme – Climate Resilience Fellowships 2026 offers an exceptional, fully funded opportunity to strengthen your expertise, expand your network, and make a tangible impact in building climate resilience across the Commonwealth.

    About the Fellowship

The King’s Commonwealth Fellowship Programme – Climate Resilience Fellowships 2026 is inspired by His Majesty King Charles III’s vision of a sustainable future. It is designed to empower professionals across Commonwealth Small Island Developing States (SIDS) who are actively working to enhance climate adaptation and resilience in their communities.

This one-year professional development programme combines academic learning, applied research, and practical experience. It brings together passionate professionals to exchange ideas, collaborate, and develop climate-smart solutions tailored to their unique island contexts.

🕓 Application Deadline: 13:00 (UTC) on Wednesday, 19 November 2025

    Fellowship Structure and Benefits

The fellowship provides a rich blend of learning and practice through three main components:

1️⃣ Online Training Course (February – July 2026)

An 18-week online learning journey focused on:

    • Climate literacy and adaptation strategies
    • Cross-sectoral collaboration
    • Influencing and implementing policy
    • Accessing and managing climate finance

    2️⃣ In-Person Residential in Fiji (August 2026)

A five-day residential training in Fiji, where fellows from across the Commonwealth will convene to share experiences, engage in workshops, and network with leading experts in climate resilience.

    3️⃣ Workplace-Based Applied Learning Project (August – December 2026)

Each fellow will design and implement a five-month project within their home institution. This hands-on component allows participants to translate knowledge into real-world solutions that support national and community climate goals.

    4️⃣ Virtual Community of Practice

Fellows will gain access to an exclusive online community, fostering peer learning, collaboration, and continued professional support even after the fellowship ends.

💡 Note: The programme allows participants to remain in their current employment throughout the fellowship.
