    About the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at Arizona State University 2026

    The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at Arizona State University 2026 supports the next generation of African leaders through graduate education, professional development, and community engagement.
    Arizona State University (ASU), in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, will award 40 full scholarships to graduate students for the 2026 academic year.

    This unique programme blends online degree learning with in-person support through Kepler College in Rwanda, creating a flexible yet highly engaging academic experience. Some degree programmes are also offered as full-time on-campus programmes at Arizona State University.


    Eligible Graduate Programmes

    Applicants can choose from a range of innovative and development-focused master’s degrees, including:

    • MS Global Technology and Development
    • MSE Sustainable Engineering
    • MS Information Technology
    • MS Business Analytics
    • MEd Learning Design and Technologies

    These courses are designed to prepare future leaders to solve Africa’s most pressing social, economic, and environmental challenges.


    Scholarship Benefits

    Eligibility Criteria

    To qualify for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at Arizona State University 2026, applicants must meet the following requirements:

    • Be a citizen of an African country
    • Be aged between 18 and 33 years by the application deadline
    • Have a bachelor’s degree earned by July 2026
    • Have not started or completed another master’s degree before July 2026
    • Demonstrate strong leadership potential and a record of community engagement
    • Meet the academic and English proficiency requirements for their chosen programme
    • Be able to live in Kigali, Rwanda for the duration of the programme

    The deadline for all applications is November 2, 2025 (23:59 GMT).
