About the AIG Public Leaders Programme
The AIG Public Leaders Programme (AIG PLP) is an intensive executive training initiative aimed at developing outstanding African public sector leaders. Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the AIG Public Leaders Programme 2026, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of an English-speaking African country
- Be currently working in the public sector within Africa
- Possess a minimum of seven (7) years of relevant work experience
- Hold a Grade Level 13 position or above, or an equivalent senior role
- Be between the ages of 35 and 54 years
Ideal candidates are dynamic public servants who are passionate about improving governance and public service delivery in Africa.
Programme Structure
Participants will undergo an intensive series of interactive modules, practical exercises and reflective sessions. The curriculum blends academic rigour with real-life case studies, encouraging participants to apply learning directly to their institutional challenges.
Additionally, participants will complete a Capstone Project, integrating key learnings into a practical initiative or reform relevant to their role or organisation.
