Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) Photography Awards 2026

    Deadline: March 1, 2026

The Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) Photography Awards 2026 is now open for submissions. This global photography competition invites photographers from around the world to spotlight the beauty, resilience and importance of rangelands and pastoralist communities. Through powerful storytelling and compelling imagery, the award aims to amplify underrepresented landscapes and the people who depend on them.

If you are passionate about environmental storytelling, conservation, culture and community, this is an opportunity to gain international recognition and showcase your work on a global stage.

About the Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) Photography Awards 2026

The Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) Photography Awards 2026 focuses on rangelands and pastoralist communities — ecosystems that are vital to biodiversity, climate resilience and sustainable livelihoods.

Photographers are encouraged to submit images that capture:

    • The beauty and diversity of rangelands
    • The daily lives, traditions and resilience of pastoralist communities
    • Environmental challenges and restoration efforts
    • The deep connection between people, land and climate

The competition seeks powerful visual narratives that raise awareness and inspire action for sustainable landscapes worldwide.

    Prizes and Benefits

Winners of the competition will receive both financial rewards and global exposure.

    Award Prizes:

    • 🥇 First Prize: USD 500
    • 🥈 Second Prize: USD 400
    • 🏆 Popular Vote Prize: USD 300

    Additional Benefits:

    • A feature article on ThinkLandscape
    • Exhibition and showcase at GLF Africa 2026
    • Visibility at other GLF global events

Beyond the cash prizes, finalists and winners gain significant international recognition within the environmental and conservation community.

    Eligibility Criteria

The competition is open to a wide audience of photographers worldwide.

    To be eligible:

    • Applicants must be 18 years or older
    • Both amateur and professional photographers may apply
    • Photographs that have previously won awards are not eligible

This inclusive approach ensures diverse perspectives and stories from across the globe.

    Submission Guidelines

Applicants may submit up to three photographs. Each image counts as a separate entry.

    Each submission must include:

    • The title of the photograph
    • The photographer’s name and contact information
    • A detailed caption, including subject description and location details

All entries will be reviewed by a judging panel. Shortlisted finalists will be selected first, after which winners will be determined by a combination of judges’ decisions and a public vote.

    Important Deadline

    🗓 Submission Deadline: 1 March 2026

Late applications will not be considered, so early submission is strongly encouraged.

    Why You Should Apply

The Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) Photography Awards 2026 offers more than a prize — it provides a platform. By entering, you contribute to a global conversation on sustainable land use, climate resilience and cultural heritage.

    Moreover, selected photographers gain:

    • International exposure
    • Professional credibility
    • Networking opportunities within global environmental forums
    • A chance to influence policy and public awareness through visual storytelling

If your photography captures meaningful environmental and human stories, this award could be your gateway to global recognition.

    Final Thoughts

Photography has the power to shape narratives and inspire change. The Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) Photography Awards 2026 celebrates images that tell urgent and hopeful stories about our planet’s rangelands and the communities who sustain them.

If you are ready to share your vision with the world, this is your opportunity.
