    The Civil Service Pathways Fellowship 2026 provides CUNY graduates with the chance to gain hands-on experience while contributing to the delivery of public services across New York City. Fellows will work within city agencies, receive competitive compensation, and participate in a structured programme that blends professional development, training, and career advancement opportunities.

    This fellowship not only opens doors to full-time employment within the city government but also prepares participants to take civil service exams that can lead to permanent roles in the public sector.

    The Civil Service Pathways Fellowship 2026 offers a range of career tracks designed to suit different academic and professional backgrounds. These include:

    • Policy and Programme Analysis – approximately $48,956 per year
    • Procurement and Finance – approximately $48,956 per year
    • Project Management – approximately $48,956 per year
    • Creative Services and Digital Media – approximately $48,956 per year
    • Information Technology and Data Analysis – approximately $53,862 per year
    • Architecture and Engineering – approximately $53,862 per year

    Each track is designed to offer practical exposure and project-based learning experiences aligned with New York City’s operational priorities.

    Eligibility Criteria

    Applicants must meet the following requirements to qualify for the Civil Service Pathways Fellowship:

    • Hold or be on track to complete a bachelor’s degree from a CUNY college by May 2026.
    • Be legally authorised to work in the United States.
    • Reside within one of New York City’s five boroughs.
